Spiderman the Musical--WTF!!

In this weeks Hollywood wtf moment some rich idiot with to much time on his hands has decided to make a broadway play out of the Spider-man movies. What are they thinking this movie is hard enough to bring to the big screen why on earth would you want to adapt it to a play. Producers are calling the play "Spider-Man-Turn off the Dark" and last week they held a sneak preview of the play and 6 songs from the production were performed. Since when does Spider-Man sing and dance, and more importantly what makes them think that Spideys young male audience will pay big money to watch him sing and dance? But in Hollywood anything goes. I wouldnt give this play 2 years before it's cut off the web for good.

Life is short

With the recent passing of actress Natasha Richardson it just goes to show you that life is very short and you should live like theres no tomorrow. It makes you think when people you least expect to die dies in an unexpected way it dosent matter how famous they are. It makes you think a little about your own life in a way. Like with Richardsons recent passing last week it got the world talking because of the weird manor in which she died. A seemingly harmless bump on the head caused a lot of damage later on and took her in the prime of her life. That could happen to all of us because we bump our heads all the time and shrug it off but we never think that we could do serious harm to ourselves in the process. This makes us think, enjoy life while you can.

The Resurrection of Mike

It seems like it's been forever since we have heard anything postive about Michael Jackson but alas he is getting back to doing what he became famous for, his music. He has recently signed a multi-million dollar deal to do what is now 50 concerts in London. The tickets as one would expect has sold out like hotcakes. One might question if Mike whos now 50 years old is up to perform such a stressful feat since it's been over a decade since he did it last. I for one hope that he can and I will welcome a Michael comeback. My only wish is that when he leaves London that he comes to the states to perform one last time. I for one will be the first in line.

Remakes

Everywhere you look in your local multiplex there is a remake. I usually hate them but if done right I don't complain. I have seen just about all the major horror remakes that came out in 2009 thus far: The Unborn, My bloody Valentine 3D and Friday the 13th. Some of course where better then others but I have to give them all credit for one thing they all get an A from me for there gimmicks. The creators of bloody valentine knew that people wouldn't want to see another generic horror movie so they went and made it 3d and charged more money for the tickets, and the public including myself fell for it and made it a box-office hit. I must admit that the 3d was pretty good. The same was done with Friday the 13th but instead of 3d they made it a reboot and made Jason better then we've seen him, and again myself and the public ate it up and gave it the biggest ever opening weekend for a horror film. Are these movies meant to stimulate your mind? Hell no but they make for a pretty good hour and a half. The recent success of these movies bodes well for the upcoming remake of The Last House on the Left.

Rihanna and Chris back 2gether-what the hell!

This is by far one of the strangests things I've read all week. It was reported that rihanna and chris brown have reconciled this past weekend at a home owned by P.Diddy. The couple are supposedly talking things over regarding their relationship. Brown is also there recording material for his new album. They are reported to be still deeply in love with each other. And in other reports there are insiders close to both camps saying that rihanna is going to testify on chris' behalf admiting her part in what led to their altercation. Now I'm far from a hater, I believe in second chances, depending on what the incident is, and I believe in love. But this makes no sense to me. I have seen domestic violence first hand, and promises to quit after "One" altercation is usually just bullshit by the offending party. I would hope that in this case with a celebrity of her magnitude that she would wise up and not defend her attacker who beat her the way he did. But this is a crazy world we live in, full of even crazyer people.
